FEBRUARY
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 12PMLUNCHTIME POT LUCK. The first Thursday of each month we have been have a pot luck lunch. We love homemade but if you would like to participate your welcome to bring anything. We have all gotten some great recipes. I even served a great Christmas dinner soup that was a big hit. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 9AMAIRBRUSH WORKSHOP. This class has been added due to the many people doing it on Saturday. Check below for information and sample pictures of the many items to choose from. THERE WILL BE NO EVENING WORKSHOP ON THIS DAY! FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10, 9AMOPEN BOOK BRUSHSTROKES. In this class David brings all his patterns for you to choose from. This class is for both beginners and advanced students. You will need two plain greenware pieces cleaned and ready to decorate before class. This class has always been popular. Get signed up early! SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11, 9AM DAVID HOFF AIRBRUSH WORKSHOP. Your choice as to what you want to do. You may do both a wipeout piece and a regular airbrush piece. In this ever popular class you have your choice of items and also color. As many of you know there are many airbrush samples at the shop. The pictures below are just a few ideas of what you can do. This class is for beginners as well as experienced people. Get your pieces cleaned and ready for class.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 1PMELEGANT GLASS CANDLE HOLDER. You will be painting and piping on a special flat piece of FUSING glass. Learn how to use this great new product. This piping paste can also be used on low fired ceramics as an overglazed product. All glass and use of piping bottles, colors, and firings are included in class. These holders require two different firings. You will need to have one small round brush in good shape.
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 6PMCLAY PUZZLED FISH. This is a fun, fun class. No two fish come out the same. Each one has it's own personality. Great for your garden or added decoration to a book shelf. We will be offering two classes. Come join the fun. Great for kids to do also if not too young. Fired samples to at shop.

SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 9AMWET CLAY DRAPING. Your choice of pieces. We will do two items in class. Please sign up early and choose your greenware. Pieces are cast before class and kept wet for this seminar. The two pictures below are just samples of what you can do. You do your own designs and color. This is very easy and fun to do.

SUNDAY, MARCH 18, 11AM & 1PMSpecial Raku Class. This is a brand new offering at the shop. You will be completely involved in this piece. You will glaze your ware and then actually watch me pull the molten item from the kiln and place it into the reduction chamber. No two pieces ever come out the same. The colors are truly beautiful. These are cast with special Raku Clay. The ware has also been cleaned and fired for you. Prices vary on the Raku items. However all glaze, firing and tools provided. Because of the special kiln and tools used I can only accommodate EIGHT people at a time. We have two sessions. One at 11AM and one at 1PM. You will need to have your items glazed with instructions from me and at your convenience any day we are open prior to this class. You will have your choice of using any of the Raku Glazes at the shop. Even the brushes are provided. This is a very fun class to do. Please sign up early and get on a waiting list so I know how many future classes to schedule. You must see these pieces in person to get the true beauty and color on each piece! So many people have done this already and just want more pieces. You do not have to attend the RAKU class or PARTY that it has become if you do not want to. I will be glad to fire any piece for you. Once I have FOUR items then I fire. That's what I need for a full RAKU load. Come and give it a try. The large pot bottom right even has GLASS on it. Yes! That's included with the glazes if you choose to use it. Not all pieces can have glass applied.

This technique includes basic glass color application, a little shading, special gold marbling glass sparkle, texture build up with a great new glass product, and the use of some glass frit, all on a 8 X 8 panel piece of fusible glass. SUNDAY, APRIL 29, 12PMCLAY PUZZLED WINE BOTTLES. Fun class to do and very easy. We will be using terra cotta clay to make two wine bottles with vines, leaves and or course grapes. These would look great on any kitchen counter or on a bar. Makes a great gift! Sample may be seen at shop. Call for details and to sign up.

You will be making a beautiful Grape Tuscany Vase using a clay puzzling technique. It looks hard but is really easy to do. We will be working with Terra Cotta clay. Space is limited in this great class. I can only accommodate about 8 people at a time, Samples at shop!
Just a cute little tidbit tray for olives, pickles, nuts or candies. Great little neighbor gift. Just a few little brush strokes, glaze and your done. Sign up early so I know how many bisque trays to order. Sample to be in shop soon.
