F.A.Q.s Q: Do I have to take a scheduled class in order to learn the craft at Fish Ceramics? A: No! There are instructors available throughout the day... ready to offer a helping hand whenever needed. These are open workshops!
Q: I understand that there are some shops where students must work during specific times. Is this the case at Fish Ceramics? A: You can feel free to work at our spacious studio anytime during normal working hours - the only exception is during scheduled courses (unless of course you are participating in the course).
Q: Do I have to already be 'artistic' in order to do ceramics? A: No. All you need is a desire to try, and we'll do everything in our power to help you improve your skills.
Q: Is Fish Ceramics a "paint and go" studio? A. No! We are much MORE!!! Although you can simply paint your artistic work(s) and let us handle the glazing... Fish Ceramics instructors encourage their students to delve a little deeper and experience the nuances of this amazing craft.
Q: If I decide that I really like ceramics - can you teach me how to fire my own works? A: Yes! Fish Ceramics is an authorized dealer for Cress Kilns. We can provide all the information that you need to set up your own hobby studio.
Q: Can children work in the studio? A: Yes! If the child has a desire to learn the craft of hobby ceramics we will encourage and teach proper use of products and tools. We will make it a fun and rewarding experience.
Q: What are your hours of operation? A: Tues & Thurs: 10am - 9pm Wed & Fri: 10am - 5pm Sat: 9am - 5pm Closed Sundays & Mondays
